<<feature>> A portion of a route to be flown usually without an intermediate stop, as defined by two consecutive significant points.

List of attributes

Name Data Type Definition
level CodeLevelType A code indicating if the route segment is in the upper airspace, the lower airspace or both.
upperLimit ValDistanceVerticalType The vertical position of the route segment ceiling.
upperLimitReference CodeVerticalReferenceType The reference surface used for the value of the upper limit. For example, Mean Sea Level, Ground, standard pressure, etc..
lowerLimit ValDistanceVerticalType The vertical position of the route segment floor.
lowerLimitReference CodeVerticalReferenceType The reference surface used for the value of the lower limit. For example, Mean Sea Level, Ground, standard pressure, etc..
minimumObstacleClearanceAltitude ValDistanceVerticalType Minimum obstacle clearance altitude (MOCA). The minimum altitude for a defined segment of flight that provides the required obstacle clearance.
pathType CodeRouteSegmentPathType The type of segment path. For example, great circle, rhumbline, geodesic line, etc.
trueTrack ValBearingType The initial true track.
magneticTrack ValBearingType The initial magnetic track.
reverseTrueTrack ValBearingType The reverse initial true track.
reverseMagneticTrack ValBearingType The reverse initial magnetic track.
length ValDistanceType The length of the path (depending on the type of the path).
widthLeft ValDistanceType The distance from the centreline of the route segment to the left edge, when considering the direction from the start point to the end point.
widthRight ValDistanceType The distance from the centreline of the route segment to the right edge, when considering the direction from the start point to the end point.
turnDirection CodeDirectionTurnType Indicates the turn direction (if any) at the end of the current segment, in order to continue on to the next segment of the same route.
signalGap CodeYesNoType indicates a signal gap in the segment
minimumEnrouteAltitude ValDistanceVerticalType Minimum en-route altitude (MEA). The altitude for an en-route segment that provides adequate reception of relevant navigation facilities and ATS communications, complies with the airspace structure and provides the required obstacle clearance.
minimumCrossingAtEnd ValDistanceVerticalType The lowermost vertical position at the end point, when flying on the route portion in the direction indicated in the RoutePortionUsage.
minimumCrossingAtEndReference CodeVerticalReferenceType The reference surface used for the value of the minimumCrossingAtEnd. For example, Mean Sea Level, Ground, standard pressure, etc..
maximumCrossingAtEnd ValDistanceVerticalType The uppermost vertical position at the end point, when flying on the route portion in the direction indicated in the RoutePortionUsage.
maximumCrossingAtEndReference CodeVerticalReferenceType The reference surface used for the value of the maximumCrossingAtEnd. For example, Mean Sea Level, Ground, standard pressure, etc..
navigationType CodeRouteNavigationType Classification of the Route Portion for navigational purposes. Examples: conventional, RNAV.
requiredNavigationPerformance CodeRNPType A code indicating the required navigation performance for the route portion
designatorSuffix CodeRouteDesignatorSuffixType A suffix for the route designator (according ICAO Annex 11), indicating whether advisory service only is available on that portion, or the RNP status of the route portion.
